Time flies

It's been almost 2 months since we started the remodling of mom & dad's flat. Up to this very moment, we are waiting for the making and instalation of cupboards, wardrobes, beds and furnitures! Time flies so very quickly isn't it?!
The diagram on the right showing you the cupboards in the sitting room! Couldn't believe how it look like when it's completed! I am sure that it will look nice and can be a very good "storgae" for all our stuffs! ha ha ha!

Another photo of smart dad taken in a tea house the other day! Dad loves going to teahouse! He enjoys dimsum, but he can't take much! He has a reduced size stomach after the operation for perferated peptic ulcer 3 years ago. He loss more than 10 kg during the 3 years!
We like to have him wearing the hat sideway which he has no objection! He looks younger this way!
We love you dad!

mom & dad at the dentist

I brought mom & dad to the dentist for a routine check on their dentures the other day. The photo on the right was taken while we were waiting for our turns to go in for examination. How do you like the way we help dad to wear his hat? He looks very smart when wearing his hat this way, don't you think so?! like the famous HK singer Justin! ha ha ha! :p

smart dad

our losai brought us some delicious food morning for dinner tonight. dad returned from the elderly day centre around 5pm. and we have dinner at 6pm. dad enjoyed the food.
losi called us around 7pm. dad answered the phone. losai asked dad if he enjoy the food. he said , "yes". losai asked him what did he have for dinner. he said, "I ate whatever I picked up." our dad is very smart, isn't he?! he avoided losai's question because he forgot what he had had for dinner!!

Remodelling of 4D

After packing and throwing away all the unwanted stuffs with mom remodelling of 4D is in good progress since Sept.17. The above photo where I stood will be the enlarged bedroom.

In the above photo, the place where I stood will be an open-kitchen in the future! That is to say, we are going to have a larger dining room, because it combines with the kitchen! Mom has kept a large round table top, that means we will have a large dining room to accommodate more people coming for dinner than before!

visit to Kadoorie Farm

It is a beautiful day as you can see from the photo!
Guess what are those two yellow and black balloons are for! They are being hang out in the "field" to keep aways birds from eating the crops / vegetables!
There are beautiful flowers and lovely fresh vegetables planted in some part of the farm. We take the shuttle bus to go to the top of Kadoorie Farm and the sceneries are beautiful!

more photos on dad during his saty in hospital

Dad is better

Dad was hospitalised on Saturday (Jan.27) because he passed large amount of blood in his stool. The investigation in hospital found out that he has gastritist and duodenal ulcer. He was given 2 pints of blood and his haemoglobin level imporved from 8 to 10.
Dad was discharged home on the following Saturday (Feb.2). You can see from the above photos that he is back to his normal self, though a bit tired. We hope that he can attend the Elderly Day Centre after the CHinese New Year.

Dad in Hospital

It was Saturday evening when dad passed large amount of melaena (blood in stool). I phoned up SK and losai and they came to see dad. SK said that we have to send him to hospital. Dad reminded us to bring things that required for his hospitalisation. SK drove us there. The Accident & Emergency Department of Queen Elizabeth on that evening was not busy. Before long, Dad was seen by the docdtor and carried out the basic examinations. It took about 1+ hours to complete the registration procedure and examinations, and finally, dad was admitted to the surgical ward (A1/Bed 8).
Dad was calm and rested in bed there before we left.
Thank God for the arrangement. We believed that God would take good care of dad during his stay in the hospital.

baby?!

Do you know what is this?
"a baby lying on a fur bed"!
"NO!"
It is a "baby biscuit"!
Just don't know how the designer can 'create' such a 'biscuit'! How can one put this "baby biscuit" into one's mouth?

Christmas in San Jose, 2007.

We spent a memorable Christmas with my grand niece Ally and her parents. She has grown up a lot since she last visited us in HK in 2006!
My dad loves to play with her! She likes to hold onto great-grand-dad's hand and go to the backyard for "exercises". She would also ask me to look for spiders and ants with her in the backyard too! She is a lovely kid and she is a quick learner! She likes reading! She often asked me to read story books, one after another! I missed her ever since we return to Hong Kong!
